Our friend KZ in Newton, KS showed us this gigantic chimney sweep on the side of the highway between Newton and Lindsborg. He was a great tour guide and even forgave me for moving his drink away from the edge of the table 2-3 times during lunch...my mom gene's run deep.Friday, July 10, 2009

I drove past that damn thing for over a year when I worked in Mcphearson. It started to give me the creeps. It used to be a chef outside of a resuarant in Mcphearson (I think it was called Super Chef actually). A local Chimney Sweep company bought and remodeled it. At one point, some friends of the owner made a giant strap on um "accessory" out of paper mache and attatched it. I guess it was up for a few days before the Sherriff called the owner to make him remove it. Supposedly was rather realistic. Some people have too much time on their hands.....
