Dorena-Hickman Ferry

The Mighty Mississippi! We stopped at a very small town about an hour from Hickman for gas. I asked the station manager about how far it was to the Ferry and got a glazed look back. "There's a ferry in Hickman? Well it's just a Dead-end at Nowhere...didn't know there was a Ferry there!"
Only 2 places to cross the river in KY...just south of Cairo, IL or Hickman, KY. We went for the Dead-end at Nowhere. Ran into another person from Norristown on the Ferry who didn't know we were crossing the Mississippi, He ran around the Ferry asking eveyone if they knew we were on the Big River! He was very excited!! LOL

Land Between the Lakes

What a gorgeous place!
